I am a chiropractor, and as such am bound by social pressure to always be a representative of chiropractic. Being a christian I also represent Christ. Being a citizen of the United States of America I represent my country. If I were to evangelize or debate politics on my professional site though I would turn some people off, and I want everyone to be able to come to my practice without feeling judged or threatened. If you would like my professional comments please visit the links provided. With that in mind this is not a professional blog, and I will be exercising my freedom of speech here. I will express my opinion and hope that you too will be willing to express yours. Please comment, question, and enjoy my personal blog. I plan too.

Nation of Babies

Have we become a nation of children? When my child gets a splinter they don't want me to take it out because it will hurt. They don't realize that it will hurt more if we leave it in. We are willing to sacrifice our future and the future of our country for a little bit of comfort now. It's the extreme of the have it now mentality. Our country would rather put off the Pain of a depression than have it now. We'd rather think more about the immigration problem than suffer a little higher prices or fewer votes.

Have we lost the idea of struggling to achieve? Working hard for something? Where is the nation that understood that sacrifice now led to a greater happiness later?

Yes as a matter of fact we are a bunch of babies. Not only are we unwilling to make the hard choices now. We are making decisions that contrary to the basic principles of finance. There is no way to spend your way out of debt. It does not work. Either way we found out the truth of our politcians when the stimulus was being passed and we had members of Congress saying they didn't care what their constituients said they where going to vote for it.
